About us

Who are we?

At Way of Nature we organise and host retreats and experiences to help us reconnect, get inspired and to take care of ourselves, each other and the world we are part of.

We do it because we think the modern world drives us apart, distracted and disenchanted; with consequences to our wellbeing, our communities and natural environment.

We bring lots of experience, loads of passion for what we do, and deep and wonderful teachings and guidance from John P. Milton, the founder of Way of Nature and visionary in nature-based practices.

These are exciting times as we launch a new phase of life and work as Way of Nature UK. Our vision is to grow a beautiful, organic, meaningful enterprise that reinvests into helping lives and natural balance.

Meet the Team

Andres Roberts

Andres is a co-founder of Way of Nature UK, an entrepreneur and a guide dedicated to learning, wholeness and creativity. He has dedicated much of his life and work to helping positive change happen through art, play and nature. He has been hosting participative learning experiences since 2005 and deep nature programmes since 2010. He is also a partner of Kessels & Smit where he facilitates inspiring organisational change and leadership programmes. Half British; half Colombian; big on the sea, music, festivals and banquets, his biggest questions are about reconnection, wisdom, enchantment and keeping magic alive in everyday life.

Adrian Kowal

Adrian is a co-founder of Way of Nature UK and has been spending time in the wilderness before he could speak. Since 1999 he has led group tours in remote areas of nature in North America, Russia, Europe, and Africa. He is passionate about living a balanced lifestyle in our busy modern world by supporting people’s reconnection with nature through his work with scout groups, universities, and men’s groups. Adrian is the co-founder of evolve - a centre for evolution based in South Kensington, which inspires individuals to feel empowered in their lives through yoga, holistic treatments, innovative workshops, courses and special events.

Korbi Hort

Korbi is a wonderful outdoor guide with over twenty years experience and an approach that combines a profound understanding of the wild with deep spiritual practice. Through his work has created a growing network linking business leaders, psychologists, educators and outdoor professionals to a common mission: to facilitate the emergence of a peaceful world that our children will want to inherit. Korbi is the founder of EasyDay and of ActiveEarth Learning. He graduated at the University of Edinburgh in Outdoor Education with Environmental Studies and holds a MSc in Responsibility and Sustainability from Ashridge Business School.

John P. Milton

John is the founder of Way of Nature. He is a revered elder of the environmental movement. The first environmentalist on White House staff and a pioneering leader of large scale environmental protection, John’s mission is to help society to live in harmony with nature and draw strength from it. He is a master of a number of nature based spiritual traditions from around the world.

Jen Morgan

Growing up in the forested mountains of New Hampshire, Jen has a deep rooted connection to Nature. She believes that having experiences in nature is an important part of awakening to life’s wider interconnectivity - something that is greatly needed in the world today. Jen plays a supportive strategic role in WON in building conversations, connections and community that help the work grow and flourish.

Jini Reddy - Writer in Residence

After a decade of writing on experiential travel in sometimes wild, remote places for national press in the UK and abroad (as well as scribing on wellbeing and personal growth) it dawned on Jini that she feels most alive when spending mindful time in nature.

She’s fascinated by the potential of nature-based retreats to deepen and heal and believes these experiences can inspire anyone, regardless of outdoors ‘know-how’. She aims to support WON by raising awareness through interviews, articles and conversations. British born, raised in Canada, of Indian ancestry, she thrives on connection, creativity and time by the coast.
