Where the Wild Men Are
Scotland, 30th May to 4th June 2017
“A man-trained boy would have been badly bruised, for the fall was a good fifteen feet, but Mowgli fell as Baloo had taught him to fall, and landed on his feet.”
– Rudyard Kipling
20 men will meet in the deep wilds of Scotland. Each will bring only 20 items, to live in the wild for 5 days. Drums will be beaten, mountains will be scaled, moonlit lochs will be swum, a sweat lodge will be built. There will be singing. There will be Qi Gong at dawn. There will be an unforgettable adventure.
At the heart of the journey each man will spend 48 hours alone in the wild, fasting, following his own rite of passage experience – an experience honoured throughout time amongst many traditions around the world.
Don’t delay. This camp will be filled with song, belly laughter, scrambling adventures, midnight Aikido-inspired adventures, and deeply nourishing conversations around the camp fire on the challenges and joys of modern masculinity. We will practice Taoist martial practices at dawn, go deep into Native American awareness practices, experience deeply powerful breathing practices from Tibet and more like this.
No Wifi, no phone signal, no iPads, no Kindles… Liberate yourself for a few days. Dare to leave your Smartphone behind.
We double dare you.
And we bet you return fuller, brighter, stronger and more alive.
“A sharpening of the senses and of the joy of being alive.”
Please note: This journey will be physically challenging. Expect to learn new practices for living in the wild, and to carry all of the food and shelter you will need over the expedition.
